Because our treatments are completely different, think of us as a Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist and a Chiropractor all rolled in to One!

Top 5 Reasons We Are Completely Different Than The Typical Chiropractic Office:

1. We will NOT "Crack" your neck or back! Many people do not want to receive a classic chiropractic adjustment and we respect that. We offer many other therapy techniques to help get you better and out of pain!

2. We do not over treat. Unlike most other chiropractic offices, we do not try to keep you coming in forever or "hound" you if you miss an appointment. When you are out of pain and satisfied, we will release you from care.

3. We will never suprise you with any hidden bills or fees. We will keep you updated on your insurance reimbursement status.

4. We will not rush you through your treatment like most other offices do. Most chiropractors will only spend about 2-3 minutes with a patient. We take our time with our patients, your treatment time is "your" time, we will give you the attention you deserve!

5. We offer a professional but "fun" atmosphere and will work closely with your MD or PT by sending them status reports to keep them updated with your treatment care.

We would also like to congratulate our patient Ta'Quan (Tootie) Zimmerman. His NBA training is paying off, he has played in the D League with the Utah Jazz and is currently playing in Canada.

Condition of the Month:
Colder Weather and Pain
Now that the colder weather is pretty much upon us, you have to take precautionary measures to protect your body even further especially if you work outside. This also holds true for positions that are exposed to the outdoor elements on a consistent but intermittent basis such as EMS workers, police or firefighters. Colder weather can increase our discomfort such as low back pain, neck pain, knee pain, hip pain, or rotator cuff pain. One of the best things you can do for your body in the colder weather is to dress appropriately. The best way to do this is to dress in layers. Layers help trap in the heat from our body and from the thin pockets of air between layers. This is especially important if you currently have an injured body part or a chronic problem area such as chronic low back pain or chronic neck pain.
Take a look at neck pain as an example. If your neck muscles are tight or in spasm to begin with, exposing them to cold air will make them even tighter, thus more uncomfortable or painful. Here's what happens; as the body is exposed to the cold, the body shivers. Shivering is our muscles contracting rapidly to help produce heat but if muscles are tight to begin with, shivering can make them even tighter. So if you have neck pain especially chronic neck pain, when you venture outside into the colder weather, it is important to keep
your neck covered especially if it is a cold windy day. Wear a turtle neck or a scarf or both to keep the coldness off of your neck. It would also be helpful to wear a coat that has a raised collar that you can zip all the way up to give you a little extra warmth. For help managing chronic issues such as shoulder pain (rotator cuff pain), neck pain or low back pain, try using over-the-counter heat patches such as the ThermaCare brand. You just stick them on the skin over the problem area(s) and the patches will heat up giving you warmth for up to 8 hours. This would not only be helpful when working out in the colder weather but for keeping those chronic areas warm when you are running errands on the weekend or for outdoor activities such skiing. We offer comprehensive care and rotator cuff treatment for the following areas: Waterbury, Wolcott, Cheshire, Southington, Bristol, Wallingford, Prospect and Meriden.
